A few weeks ago I reported on a sad little dog name Stuart (RAR working on adoption projects in Romania). Today I received an update on little Stuart from Romania Animal Rescue CEO Nancy Janes and the news makes a happy Christmas story.
Stuart was one of several dogs RAR was trying to shelter in Timisoara, Romania. All of these dogs were found roaming around the railroad tracks, however, Stuart was the worst case. Mange had made him lose all his fur, he was infested with fleas and grossly under weight. However, something about his hopeful, trusting eyes made the shelter caregivers and the local vet want to help him.
Under the care of Dr. Aurelian and the kind people of the new Timisoara shelter along with assistance from the RAR, Stuart has made a full recovery! His fur has come back and he plays just like any other puppy. To see him today, no one would guess the horrible conditions under which he was found.
Now for Stuart comes the next task. Stuart has a new home and family in Florida waiting for him, but he needs help to get there. Nancy Janes and RAR are asking for donations to secure Stuart's trip to his new home. Janes says it will take only $500.
