Nine Puppies

Play Slideshow

On February 21, Livia Brenner brought nine puppies from Romania to Sonja in Germany for adoption. Dr. Aurelian spayed/neutered and vaccinated all of them, providing health certificates for travel. What's better than having Dr. Aurelian treat these animals? Having two of them! They are brothers!

Thanks to Jodie Richers of Dogs on Death Row, the three puppies that came to the USA with Marian are all living happily ever after!

Super Day at Spay Day 2009

Play Slideshow

RAR arranged and funded Spay Day 2009 (an HSUS project) for a group, Phoenix, in Giurgiu. We had media attention, and were able to spay/neuter 105 animals. Dr. Aurelian performed more spay/neuter for Spay Day in other areas of Romania. We were able to fund this event with a grant from the Alice Morgan Wright-Edith J. Goode Trust.

Valentines Day: Betty on all four legs, after all metallic "inventory" was removed!

Play Slideshow

Beginning December 2008, this dog had multiple fractures in her rear legs. The cold weather outside was making the job of looking after the dog more difficult, since Ms. Oprica and her family live in a small apartment. Ms. Oprica visited the vet and queued there many times. If Betty, a street dog, is walking again today, this is mainly due to Ms. Oprica. Betty and Ms. Oprica still have some more visits with the vet (stitches to be removed), and some vitamins. Due to the collar she wore for nearly two months, the skin around her ears is now badly irritated, and it bothers her, she scratches. Anyway, she was lucky. Many thanks to RAR donors for supporting us!

Doghouses

Play Slideshow

100 doghouses have been built with generous donations from Romania Animal Rescue supporters. The builders of these doghouses have placed them near packs of street dogs so they may be used to shelter them from the cold Romanian winter.
