Photo Diary--Romania, June 2007
Romania Rescue

The following photos show the state of animals from Romania. Although some photos in these diaries maybe graphic, we have included them to chronicle the animals' living conditions. We believe that allowing millions of unwanted animals to be born into a world of suffering, poisoning and neglect is wrong. We have the capabilities to stop this crisis, and now so does Romania! Please visit our Help Us section for ways to help these animals.

Romania Trip: June, 2007

These photos are of dogs sleeping in the street. The last two photos are of a dog that had died on the street. Cars continued to run over it, so Nancy moved it to a nearby park.

Rescued by Claudiu Iosim of Animed Arad, NUCA in Cluj, Romania, and RAR's Nancy Janes, this kitty was brought to the vet, had a tumor removed from her ear, teeth cleaned and some pulled, and deparasited. She went in the box to Arad, where Claudiu took her for sterilization and adoption!

Nancy found this female dog on the street and carried her into Dr. Ileana's clinic for sterilization, vaccinations, and deparatization, and food!

Marian and Nancy posted signs, with the help of friendly Galati residents, about the free spay/neuter program at Dr. Ileana's. We also handed out hundreds of rubber bracelets that encourage people to "Sterilize Dogs! Cats! Give them a new chance!" in Romanian.

Puppies on the streets of Romania.

These photos are of dogs and pups at Media Pro film studios. Nancy was able to get Frontline on 14 dogs at Media Pro that day!
