The following photos show the state of animals from Romania.
Although some photos in these diaries maybe graphic, we have included them to
chronicle the animals' living conditions. We believe that allowing millions of
unwanted animals to be born into a world of suffering, poisoning and
neglect is wrong. We have the capabilities to stop this crisis, and now so
does Romania! Please visit our Help Us section
for ways to help these animals.
Help Labus is building a shelter for the dogs, and are now able to care for some of the horses.
Adoptions
These puppies were born last December. If you would like to adopt one of them, please email Nancy Janes.
Spay/Neuter Fund
Romania Animal Rescue, Inc. donated funds to a friend in Romania to spay/neuter many dogs.
Dedication
In 2005, a young lady died in a terrible car accident on a road outside
Galati. The stray dog she had in her car survived. The lady's family placed
a cross on the side of the road where the accident occurred. The dog stays
by the accident site, and bites anyone who approaches the cross.
When we found him, we deparasited and vaccinated him, and will neuter
him. Viorel created a cage for him, so he could have some protection from
the weather.
Born Starving
In Galati, more than 14,000 stray dogs roam the streets. They find scraps of food amidst the garbage. The food they find has often
spoiled, containing dangerous levels of bacteria.
These eight littermates were born in January. They live in a yard near a
hospital in Galati. With no home, food and water are both hard to find. Life
is hard for these puppies.
