Galati Donkey

Romania Animal Rescue friend and advocate, Geo, contacted RAR about a donkey that appeared one day at a shelter in Galati, Romania. The owner of the shelter, Mr. Cenac, did not have the means to keep the donkey, and is receiving threats from neighbors who want to kill the animal to sell as meat. The donkey had parasites, wounds in his side and nose, and damaged feet including chipped hooves. RAR funded the veterinary treatment for the donkey while Geo contacted other animal support groups who may have the space to care for him. We will keep you posted to the treatment of this donkey as the story unfolds.
