Cassie Is Great

Cassie is one of the rescued puppies from Romania. We'd just thought you might want to see how she was doing.

Braila Cemetery

These puppies are from the cemetery in Braila. Cristina bought and brought all the dog food. The three black puppies were brought to America, as they had been dumped much too young, with little chance for survival.

How To Save a Kitten

Dear Nancy,

I was on my way to work when I heard the cry of a kitten. I stopped for a second but couldn’t hear it anymore. I returned to that place later and heard the cat's cry again. This time I figured out where it was: The sewer linking to the nearby buildings. I removed the sewer cover and saw something black, small and moving. It was a kitten, scared. I may have scared him more. I believe that's where he lived, in the dark, because he was really afraid of me. Maybe a cat gave birth in that sewer and he was the only one to survive. I left, but kept the sewer cover open so he could have light. Then I saw him on the pipe, but he couldn't reach the surface to get out, nor could I reach him. If I were to go down in the sewer I was afraid he will run away. I decided to look for a slat. I found one and placed it near the pipes by the sewer opening. I took a few steps back and waited to see if he would come out on his own. After five minutes I heard him crying desperately. I stepped closer. He was almost out of the sewage, seeing the light I suppose for the first time. I felt so good for saving the little one. What a unique feeling! Now I will try to get closer to him, maybe become friends until we find him an owner who will love him as he deserves. I don't know if the kitten will miss me after someone will adopt him.

Keep saving animals and the results will make you feel complete!

Hugs,
Geo
