Thank you for your generosity. The following list contains items that we send to veterinarians in Romania:

Basics
Vet supplies for a small clinic Remember, we can send these items directly from Livermore via Rotary International (some things, such as tables, can obviously be purchased on-site):
  • Tables
  • good lights
  • bandage material (gauze squares, roll bandage, etc.)
  • exam gloves
  • cotton-tipped swabs
  • E/T Tubes
  • Pulse Oximeter or doppler
  • syringes with needles (various sizes)
  • cages
  • stethoscopes, thermometers
  • forceps
  • opthalmoscope, otoscope
  • muzzles
  • cat gloves
  • leashes
  • client information sheets
Basic Drugs
  • ORAL:
    • Antibiotics (amoxicillin, Baytril, etc.)
    • anti-inflammatories (Prednisone, NSAIDS)
    • antacids (Tagamet, Zantac)
    • sedatives (Acepromazine).
  • INJECTABLE: Same as above but injectable forms (e.g., dexamethasone instead of prednisone)
  • OTHER:
    • Topical, otic, opthalmic antibiotic cream, ointment
    • anti-inflammatories
    • burn cream
Emergency
  • DRUGS:
    • Atropine
    • Diazepam
    • Lidocaine
    • dextrose
    • activated charcoal
    • anti-venom
    • analgesics, sedatives (for painful or feral animals)
  • OTHER:
    • Bandages (various roll gauzes, vet-wraps, tape)
    • pliers, bolt cutters
    • I.V. catheters & fluids
    • additives (vit. Bx, etc.)
    • hot water bottles, heating pads.
Surgery Supplies
  • Instruments & trays

  • surgical towels (can be used as drapes as well)
  • surgical scrub (Chlorhexadine or Betadyne solution, scrub)

  • anesthesia drugs (ketamine, etc.)

Next RAR Event


Dr. Olson, from Alaska, will return next spring to Romania to train more local veterinarians to use modern spay/neuter procedures.
